Amy Winehouse Found Dead At Age 27 [Video]

British singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead at age 27 according to various media reports.

Winehouse has battled drug and alcohol addiction for years.

Last month she was forced to cancel her European tour after she mumbled and stumbled her way through a concert in Belgrade.

The Metropolitan Police released a statement about her death, but it doesn’t mention Winehouse by name.

“Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.

On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.”

That’s so sad. RIP Amy. How you live your life and the things you do will catch up to you, good or bad habits. I use to tell my patients that all the time. After working on the med surg floor a lot of those people made me change my eating habits and made me think about my life and my health. It was like every person had freakin hypertension, diabetes and not to mention the obese people that use to scare me because I use to think they were going to die on me because they would be short of breath and couldn’t hardly breathe, on oxygen, couldn’t hardly walk. I had a pt. that drank alcohol like water and the results of looking at him go through his thing made me be like oh no! Thank God alcohol is nasty to me anyway. Everyday I worked on that floor I had to see all of that, and it that was a bit much for me sometimes and it just made me change my whole perspective on my life and health. Even when I work on the detox floor I still can’t understand how people get caught up with that ish and they know it’s bad for them. And seeing them go through withdrawals I don’t like to see that but I don’t feel bad for them either though. The one’s that p**s me off are the pregnant women. Seeing a baby go through withdrawals is the worst thing, because it’s nothing you can really do for them. It’s just crazy! For all of the people who are caught up in the world of bad habits I hope one day they can really over come their habit and be an advocate for other people.
