Monterrey, Mexico awoke with a terrible discovery in the last days of 2010, Tamez Gabriela Muniz, known as the Redhead or ‘Pelirroja’ appeared around 6:30 in the morning hanging from a bridge on the busy Avenida Gonzalitos.
Some people waiting for transport at a nearby bus stop, managed to see as an armed group arrived and hang up the woman, who was still alive but apparently died after being hung.
With visible signs of torture, shirtless and the name ‘Yair’ painted on her back and chest, the woman hung gruesomely for all to see.
In 2009, Gabriela Muniz was arrested by authorities, for reportedly leading a band of kidnappers.
After spending time in the Penal del Topo Chico jail, last Monday the ‘Redhead’ was being transferred to the University Hospital, to get some medical tests done. However, the truck where she was being transferred in was intercepted by an armed group that rescued her from the four guards she was traveling with.
Now her execution style murder leaves questions whether she was being rescued to flee or was kidnapped in order to be killed and silenced.
After the murder of the ‘Redhead’, the Attorney General Jorge Aldala ordered the arrest of the four guards who were with her when she was taken, also arrested was the director of the Topo Chico prison and Adrian Guerra, head of prison security as well as the Doctor who ordered her medical leave and hospital visit for testing.
